DESCRIPTION:Business Day at the Legislature has been a cornerstone program of the Chamber for more than 40 years. This annual event is time well spent to stay informed of trending issues\, vote your opinions during Business Caucus and network with business and community peers from across the state. Business Day also provides the opportunity to talk with your district legislators\, members of the Governor's team\, cabinet officials and constitutional officers as all are sponsored to attend to the reception. \n\n\n\nBusiness Day will be held at the Pierre Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center and the State Capitol.\n\n\n\n1:30 PM - Registration/Check-in Table Opens - Ramkota Conference Lobby\n\n\n\n2:00 -3:30 PM David Owen's Legislative Update and Business Caucus\n\n\n\n3:30 5 PM Time at the Capitol with special speaker at 4 o'clock (Topic and speaker to be determined after the Legislative Session is underway)\n\n\n\n5 7:00 PM Reception at the Ramkota with heavy hors d'oeuvres - Special program at 6 o'clock feature awards presentation and guest speaker.\n\n\n\n7 PM Adjourn\n\n \n\nProviding leadership on legislative\, regulatory and ballot initiative issues is the core strength of the Chamber and our strengths in these areas comprise the core benefits of membership in the Chamber. Business Day provides an opportunity:\n\n \n\n To bring together like-minded citizens/members to learn about and discuss the legislative\, regulatory and ballot initiative issues being debated \n To demonstrate the collective voice of business and industry to state policy makers\, including legislators\, executive branch and statewide officials\n For attendees to voice their opinions on these issues during Business Caucus\n For networking\, which is a valued component of the event\n To inform and advocate with department officials and legislators on these issues
