Description
Business Day at the Legislature reflects our role as a leading voice of business by bringing local and community leaders to Pierre to advocate for sound business policy, to inform members about legislative activities and issues, to participate in Business Caucus, to strengthen relationships with policymakers and the business community, and to recognize business and legislative leaders.
Adding South Dakota Trade to the agenda creates another important reason for attending the Thursday, February 22, 2024 event at the Ramkota in Pierre. In addition to the afternoon programming, the Legislative Reception with elected officials will include a review of the afternoon program and Business Caucus results, the South Dakota Trade announcement and award presentations for Distinguished Legislative Service and Business Legislative Service.
SD Chamber President David Owen stated, “Commerce is trade and finding customers or suppliers in other countries can be part of many businesses’ strategy. The South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry is proud to share this evening with a new organization that can help more businesses in South Dakota make international trade part of their success.”
Business Day at the Legislature also serves at the Chamber’s annual meeting. The event is being held at the Ramkota Hotel & Conference Center in Pierre. A room block at the Ramkota is set for the nights of Wednesday, February 21 and Thursday, February 22. For reservations, call 605-224-6877 and mention Business Day.
